For those of you who know me you know that I've been MIA for the last little bit. Though there are many things I could blame this on (i.e. starting school, ridiculous schedule, being tired of counting and posting) I realize that this is one of the only things that keeps me on track these days. So in the end I"m back to give you my daily two cents.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;While reading this friend's blog she was talking about running and I began to realize that running really overtakes your life. Take for example myself and my roommate who both have sustained injuries this past week because of running yet still want to run even with injury. It actually took other people to tell us that running right now in this state is not in our best interests. But it's funny had you told me 2 years or even a year ago that I would be itching to go outside for a run I would have thought you were nuts. But I guess that's how it goes, it starts as a chore and turns into a habit. I love my runs, I usually run with two fantastic girls and we're able to have a great conversation while running our 5-9K. &lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;While I may have not set lofty goals such as a half marathon or full yet I can see these things in the future. This weekend my roommate and I are running the 5K Homecoming race at school. Following this in 2 weeks I have my first 10K run. Training for both of these runs has kept me running and gotten me up every morning at 7 to run. &lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;So as I am turning a new leaf I am going to post my tracking for the day so that tomorrow I will stay on track. &lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Breakfast&lt;br /&gt;1 cup bran&lt;br /&gt;1 yogurt&lt;br /&gt;1 cup corn bran&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Morning Snack&lt;br /&gt;1 banana&lt;br /&gt;almonds&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Lunch&lt;br /&gt;1 cup butternut squash soup&lt;br /&gt;1 WW bun with 2 slices FF ham&lt;br /&gt;1 cube laughing cow light&lt;br /&gt;carrots&lt;br /&gt;1 mini fudgesicle&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Afternoon snack&lt;br /&gt;almonds&lt;br /&gt;1 apple&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Dinner&lt;br /&gt;1 piece vegetarian lasagna&lt;br /&gt;salad with dressing&lt;br /&gt;2 slices cantaloupe&lt;br /&gt;1 mini fudgesicle&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Evening snack&lt;br /&gt;6 crackers &lt;br /&gt;peanut butter&lt;br /&gt;1 apple&lt;br /&gt;1 cup milk&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;I've fallen into that awful habit of eating again at night so my goal for tomorrow is to keep this in check! But instead of filling this page with all my excuses I am choosing to move on and realize that sometimes I just don't have the time to blog! &lt;br /&gt;Anyway to update on my week so far... it's gone really great... well other than my two nights (yes you read that right) of drinking. But I figure I only get to have my last term of undergrad once so it's allowed for now. My roommates this term are fantastic and we got up 4 times this week to run before class. It's amazing how much 2 other people can motivate you to actually get up and move in the morning. And I've also gone ahead and convinced my one roommate to do the 10K with me. It will be quite an event since it will be the first 10K race for both of us.  So now the 3 of us have something to train for. We ran for 8.5K today and though I'm sure we'll be a little sore in the morning the sense of accomplishment at the end of that run was definitely worth it. Following our run we decided it would be a good idea to try out some pilates and wow who knew that holding your body in certain positions could be such a workout. I've always looked at those girls holding their legs out and thought that anyone could do it but I definitely have a new found respect for people who can hold their bodies in those positions for extended amounts of time.  So that's going to be my new mission to improve my core strength by using the pilates dvd I'll keep you up dated on the progress.&lt;br /&gt;The plan for tomorrow is to get up again before class and do a short run then head to the gym for some weight lifting.  And then the whole day on campus with my packed lunch will prevent me from snacking through the afternoon. But the thing is since I have very little class I have the opportunity to be a little more flexible with my time... Take for example today... after drinking a ridiculous amount last night (I know I know) I was supposed to get up at 6:30am to run before I started classes... but when that alarm went off I realized there was no way that was happening.. so I ended up sleeping a bit more then getting up to get some cereal and yogurt.  I went to class and hung around campus for the day but was able to come home around 5 and go for my run. It's fantastic to have that flexibility. Today was a 7K run in about 50 minutes... which is still a pretty slow pace but tomorrow the plan is to run a shorter distance but to try to increase the pace a bit.  Anyway other than that nothing too exciting happened for the day.&lt;br /&gt;Bomber last night was terrific... it's great to still have a place where all your friends can go and hang out and it was nice to know that I'm not old enough yet to not recognize anyone there.&lt;br /&gt;Anyway the day went pretty well... here's the log below.. It's so easy to fall in the habit of not constantly watching every bite you eat and keeping track.  It actually felt fantastic to be able to go away for vacation and not have to constantly worry about what's going on in my life. And while I would like to say that I didn't worry about eating right and exercising I did of course.. especially considering the company I was surrounded by.&lt;br /&gt;But.. the roadtrip was a success! It was a lot of fun and I definitely splurged a bit but had controlled splurging since most of our day was spent either hiking or walking about and not eating..&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;The results when I got back were great... I was up a few pounds (like 3) which is awesome considering I had a very irregular eating and working out pattern for over 3 weeks.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;And then starts the craziness that is school! I don't know why I think that it will be easier when I'm in school because I'm definitely kidding myself. But I have to say pushing myself to get up and work out works much better when you know that you don't have to work for 8 hours the next day. Anyway Monday I woke up with my roommates and we all ran for 5K. The day's eating was great until dinner because I didnt manage to eat anything until like 10pm and then it was a crazy meal of cereal and crackers and peanut butter. Gotta love the lifestyle of a student! I know now that I need to invest in some healthy microwave dinners so that even if I have company over I can pop one in and eat at a healthy time.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Anyway so my day today was also good... I got up myself to go for a run. I clocked out a 6K route and ran by myself in the rain... which wasn't fun but I also knew that was the only time I would get to do it today.  Then I came home, had some breakfast and headed to campus until 8:30pm.  Again tonight had a crazy dinner because frankly when I get home that late I really don't want to cook..anyway you can see below the food for the day but before I go I want to put in writing that I'm signing up for a 10K in October by myself. Erin was going to do it with me but can't but I still want to push myself to do it. So I figure if I write I have to do it.  The other thing is it's the Sunday morning after Oktoberfest... which kind of sucks considering all my friends will be home for that... but I think the achievement is more important to me than drinking a night away.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Anyway that's what I'm training for now... giving myself a goal so that I have something to achieve. I sat watching these bars for hours (I know it sounds crazy) I even looked at the nutrition label to see just how bad they are for you... BUT I ended up giving one to someone to came by the desk and stashed the other in my bag to give to my roommates. I was going to go to bed but decided that I should post before I hit the sack. I got home around 11 and since then have been working on my med school application... I'm actually not stressed about that at all because I figure I'll have the stuff I have to write when I go on my trip so hopefully I"ll be able to brainstorm what I want to say while on my trip...&lt;br /&gt;Anyway the day went pretty well... I read your comment last night and have decided that for right now I'm happy with just maintaining... and really I"m beginning to wonder if it's really that realistic for me to constantly strive to achieve a body weight of ~130... type='text'>Today is my cheat day...</title><content type='html'>tinOk so I officially count today as my cheat day... had a great start to the day but was craving sweets tonight so I gave in... and I don't feel guilty I know that tomorrow morning I"m getting up to go to the gym and then eat on plan all day tomorrow. The way I figure is I definitely satisfied the craving and now tomorrow I should be over it.&lt;br /&gt;Ok so here it is...&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;strong&gt;Meal #1 8:30am&lt;/strong&gt;&lt;br /&gt;1 cup bran&lt;br /&gt;1 yogurt&lt;br /&gt;1 banana&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;strong&gt;Meal #2 10:30am&lt;/strong&gt;&lt;br /&gt;1 yogurt&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;strong&gt;Meal #3 11:45am&lt;/strong&gt;&lt;br /&gt;salad with dressing&lt;br /&gt;2 slices WW multigrain bread with Fat free turkey slice&lt;br /&gt;carrot and celery sticks&lt;br /&gt;pineapple (1cup) and a small plum&lt;br /&gt;Werthers&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;strong&gt;Meal #4 3:00pm&lt;/strong&gt;&lt;br /&gt;1 snack size bag of light popcorn&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;strong&gt;Meal # 5 6:00pm&lt;/strong&gt;&lt;br /&gt;1 pack mentos&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;strong&gt;Meal #6 7:45pm&lt;/strong&gt;&lt;br /&gt;1 cob corn&lt;br /&gt;2 slices multigrain bread&lt;br /&gt;1 drumstick and 1/2 breast chicken (the kind from Zehrs with all skin and fat peeled off)&lt;br /&gt;salad with dressing&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;strong&gt;Rest of night... while doing my test and watching a movie&lt;/strong&gt;&lt;br /&gt;almonds&lt;br /&gt;1/3 cup dried cranberry mix&lt;br /&gt;1 cup grapes&lt;br /&gt;1 pria bar&lt;br /&gt;starburst&lt;br /&gt;8 melba toasts with PB&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;strong&gt;Exercise&lt;/strong&gt;&lt;br /&gt;bike ride to work&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;strong&gt;Big Wins&lt;/strong&gt;&lt;br /&gt;haha well looking at my night you would think I didn't have any big wins today... but I did.. they were giving out ice cream bars and fudgesicles for free today at work and I avoided them... also stopped myself from getting chocolate chip cookies while I was studying after work&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;strong&gt;Challenges&lt;/strong&gt;&lt;br /&gt;obviously my crazy night of eating... I feel a little ill right now but like I said I'm not going to worry about it... I ate a lot tonight but that's life... I"ve done it and that's all there is to it!&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;strong&gt;Plans for tomorrow&lt;/strong&gt;&lt;br /&gt;getting up for the gym at 8, studying all day... not too much variety of food left in the house so that's good. Don't have many options to snack on so it will keep me on track tomorrow. POssible rollerblade in the evening to my legs moving after sitting all day.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;So I know today looks pretty bad... well the evening does... but I am feeling some relief in actually just posting exactly what I did... I was going to leave things out just for the sake of not looking like such a pig (I know a harsh word) but sometimes I feel like writing to you is like a confession or a diary so I might as well be honest.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Anyway I hope your day went well! I eat not because I'm hungry but because I"ve packed it... so I"m not going to pack as much tomorrow... that's my new plan.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;So I weighed in again today to just check and see how things were going there... and I'm back down to 169.4... so I really don't know what to say about this whole thing.. I mean Tuesday I weighed in at 173.2 which is again almost 4 pound difference... so I"m going to play it good on the weekend and see how the weigh in goes on Monday..&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;strong&gt;Plan for tomorrow&lt;/strong&gt;&lt;br /&gt;going to get up and try to run... I"ll see how that works since it's almost 11 and I"m still not in bed..
